If you live in the Dayton area you are probably familiar with Woodland Cemetery. We are proud that they have joined us as an event sponsor for the Before I Die Festival!

Founded in 1841, Woodland Cemetery in Dayton Ohio is one of the oldest rural cemeteries in the United States. The cemetery is the final resting place for many of Dayton’s historic families including the Wright Brothers, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Erma Bombeck, James Ritty, the Stanley Family, the Patterson Family, the Mead Family, George Newcom and many other famous and infamous Daytonians.

Woodland Cemetery is a National and State Historic Landmark, with close to two hundred acres to roam, over 3000 trees to enjoy and a multitude of historic figures to discover. Learning about the history of Dayton, Ohio is truly a discovery of American history and ingenuity.
