At Dodds Memorials, we understand that creating a memorial can feel overwhelming. Our goal is to guide you through the process with compassion and care. Below is some helpful information to prepare for your consultation or visit to ensure a smooth experience.

1. Memorial Type

Consider what type of memorial you would like. Here are some options to think about:

2. Number of Graves

The number of graves your memorial spans will determine size limitations.

3. Cemetery Information

Knowing the Lot and Section information or being able to pinpoint your location in the cemetery, helps us navigate the rules and regulations of the cemetery sections.  This information also assists our Installation Team when it is time to set your memorial.  If you do not have this information, not to worry, we can help attain it for you.

4. Name and Date Information

It’s important to gather accurate information for your memorial, including:

  • Verified birth and death dates
  • Any anniversaries or other significant dates
  • Correct spelling for names, including middle names, maiden names, and any nicknames that you may want to include on the memorial.

5. Design Ideas

At Dodds, we strive to create a Lasting Vision of Love that tells your loved one’s unique story. You might consider including:

  • Special anniversaries
  • Occupations
  • Favorite hobbies
  • Membership in organizations
  • Any activities loved individually or together.

6. Method of Payment

To begin your order, we do require a deposit. We accept:

7. Understanding Your Emotions will likely come with you

Rest assured, our compassionate Memorial Designers are understanding and respectful of these feelings. Dodds is a judgment-free space where we honor your grief as part of the healing process.

8. Visit the Cemetery

We encourage you to take a stroll or drive through the cemetery to explore the various memorial options and observe the surrounding memorials. This experience can significantly enhance your decision-making process. Additionally, we recommend taking photographs of any designs, colors, or styles that appeal to you.

We hope that this will help you be prepared for your consultation or visit with the Dodds team. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns; we’re here to help you every step of the way.
