It’s Back! The Second Annual Before I Die Ohio Festival – By Neil Fogarty

Last October, I brought an incredibly unique event to the Dayton area.  A culmination of 3 years’ research and planning, the Inaugural Before I Die Ohio Festival was well received by participants and speakers alike.  The festival is a grouping of events which use information and humor to help people plan for the end of their lives so they can go on living, knowing that they have taken to burden of death planning from their loved ones.

During the event topics discussed include will/trusts/powers of attorney, end of life celebration/funeral planning, cemetery/memorial options, and organ donation options.  Events include death cafes, cemetery tours, workshops, and panel discussions.  Participants discover the complexities of end-of-life planning, the importance of covering all aspects, and the peace of mind that having these decisions made provides.

This year’s event takes place October 27th and 28th.  Thanks for our Presenting Sponsors, Dodds Memorials; Routsong Funeral Home; and Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum we plan to have an engaging and exciting event including food trucks and tours at Woodland Cemetery, half day symposia at Routsong Funeral Home, and Millennial Morticians at Dayton Beer Company.

Mark your calendars! For more information, visit beforeidieohio.com or visit our Facebook page.  We are currently still working on all the event details, but as we move forward towards the festival, we will be posting updates on our Facebook page and website. We look forward to seeing you there! If you would like to pre-register, please email events@doddsmemorials.com.
